Talking heads Advertising - 3rd December 2024
What are the main purposes of an advert?
1. The main purpose of an advert is to intrigue people increase awareness and sell a product or a service
Ideas for a brand
Drink bottle
Name for the Idea =
Blue Passion - Blue flavored drink specializing in the Energy aspect
It is short more catchy and easy to remember
I like this name and wouldn't want to pick any other one.
The Functions of Packaging:
PROTECTION
- To protect the product the Energy drink in this case would be placed in a cool area and away from Sunlight and heat sources to protect it from air moisture and toxins it is the main thing to make sure the energy drink is sealed properly and needs an good amount of force to open it and using Desiccant packs to store the energy drinks would be more better.
CONTAINMENT
- Keep the product sealed without spilling and falling apart it would be wise to make sure they are sealed together using a rope that will hold them steadily this will prevent them from spilling apart or leaking.
IDENTIFICATION
- Identifting the product should be easy as the product has a specific type of writing and a specific type of design.
TRANSPORTATION
- Protection during transportation is very important and crucial to keep everything secure and delivered accordingly.
STACKING
- Stacking would require the shop's spacial capacity as the bottles will be 500ml and not very thin which should not affect it badly and it can come in smaller ML options which would take up less space.
- I chose this clip because the camera angle is clear and shows a good representation of Simons's head while he is talking to the camera about Lemsip. It would be suitable.
-
Reflective Journal
- The 3 advertising structures are that it's at least 15 seconds long and must consist of different shot types and different shot types of the Lemsip product.
- We were asked to shoot an advert advertising a product depending on Nike and Lemsip and were given a script to read when it came to the recording whereas in our case it was Lemsip that our groups used. I felt like the recording was good and there are clips that are definitely usable for the edit and think a good job has been done on the editing whereas the planning wouldn't take that long as we came up with everybody speaking and then hand-picking out the speeches that were better!
- The footage we recorded came out great and the footage that I reviewed so far was good the biggest issue I faced when filming with my team was deciding on who was speaking but in the end, we came to an agreement that everybody was going to speak and they then would be edited later on.
This is a rough sketch on pen and paper and it is about an energy drink which is called Mighty Force and I chose this specific name because the force resents the power and energy that is given by an energy drink.
Reflection - Rotoscope ex
periments
Rotoscoping is when you link animation with real-life videos
Here is an example provided below:
The main tools I used in the software were the different keyframes and when I looked at the final outcome I thought that my work could have been better I understood the basics of the lesson, the part in which I had difficulty was just drawing around the object correctly which is something I can fix very confidently. The part of the lesson I found most interesting was when I Inserted the different blank keyframes and drew the rotoscope effect.
As the picture below shows the keyframes,
When I think of my brand advert I think it would be best if I make an animation going in a circular motion to give it more of an effective look.
I created this image by first making the letters and designing them specifically to make them laid out perfectly I put the font of them into a font called "ALGERIAN" and then I went to the windows tab and changed the appearance and added more of a stroke effect and then designed it more properly with adjusting the colours and I then added the background with a wave sensation to give it an impression that
it's very good and make it more appealing. I think it came out better than I expected and came out way more appealing and the wave behind blends in good with the font and colour used.
Brand advertising
Synopsis writing -
In the advert, the energy drink will pop up and a splash behind it spins around really fast then it slows down and the logo on the bottle zooms into the camera while everything else fades out and a narrator says"Blue passion, Flash in and cash in".
This is a documentary advertising structure since it shows the product and then a person talks towards the end.
Feedback
Faizan said it turns from a boring old energy drink like an old outdated version and it gets pushed away and a new energy drink which is mine comes up and shows off the new one explaining how it is better and more reliable.
I designed this using Adobe Photoshop, pasted the logo, and wrapped it around the grey can to give it a 3d look, which worked out well enough.
I made The talking adverts in Adobe Premier Pro where I got the different clips and made them into an advert using different people using different dialogues when they are speaking.
When designing this Advert, I made sure to sync everything in line when it came to adding the clips together.

Evaluation of my Logo
Upon, creating my logo I planned it and experimented quite a few times with my logo by changing the shades of the color and then making a background that evaluates the meaning of the Title regarding Blue passion which had a symbol of a wave in the background.
The skills I will need to carry in further references is that I will need to carry further technique when it comes to designing my logo.
Whilst developing this, I had some problems discussing the color and which one I should choose but I overcame it by getting information from my classmates.
